Why certain columns didn't included when I tried to create a dashboard using the chart widget

I tried to create a column chart with the channel as my column for the chart, but it's not in the drop down list for me to select it. I've included the channel column in my report as you can see above the chart widget tho. Any idea why is that?

You can still have the Primary Column showing in your Report, but just don't Group by that column, does that make sense?

When building a chart from a grouped report, you can only grab whatever is used in the first level along with columns that were used for summaries.

In this case your first group is the Primary column, so that is the level that will be used for your chart.

How could I group using the channel while still be able to sort it with primary then?

eg: grouped channel as column bars based on impressions/engagements data, and sort it by primary as category. So the y-axis will be impressions/engagements, x-axis will be channel

Paul is correct, you can only use one level of Grouping and Summary to show in a chart. For example, if this is what your Report looks like:

Then you can use this as a source for the chart. Try adjusting some of the toggles on the right to get the X axis you're looking for:

However this will not also be grouped by your Primary column.

But the primary (region) column is already default included in my report and there's no way for me to exclude it from my report. The primary column in my report is taken from another sheet's region column.
