Do you know if there are any plans to make this a reality. It would be great if my users did not have access to the sheets when receiving an automation.

This has been requested for years and it's a bummer it hasn't been implemented yet. Being able to set an automation that sends a custom email, to the contacts in cell, including a link to an attachment, without a link to the sheet would be really helpful.
The first screenshot below is an example of when you Send the File directly from the row. This is literally how I want the email to look, just a link to the file and a custom message, which is autogenerated after the user submits a form response.
I just don't want to manually do this for each respondent.
The current Automation options either include a link to the sheet or require users to open an Update request which is confusing for them because they just need to download the file.
Even though people don't have access to the sheet because it hasn't been shared to them, the link to the sheet appears first, people aren't scrolling to the bottom of the email and then they're confused when they don't see the link to the file.
Sending an email with an attachment and a message without adding a link
Although we are extremely proficient when it comes to reducing load on our smartsheets (we use pivot, data mesh and data shuttle extensively), we still find ourselves hitting capacity limits (mostly because of the number of columns in conjunction with some pretty complex formulas). Be able to print and/or export Workflow Automations in PDF and/or export to Visio. this would be used for document control and troubleshooting aid
It would be beneficial to be able to leverage Smartsheet Automations to make REST API calls. This has many potential use cases, but one I could see is adding users to Smartsheet groups when the are added to a 'roster sheet' in Smartsheet. It would allow us to use the full power of Smartsheet's API within easy to use…
