Is it possible to trigger a pivot table to run from a dashboard?

I'm setting up a dashboard to manage a process and would like to be able to insert a widget that will force a pivot table to run? Is it possible to get a URL for a pivot table?

A pivot can only be triggered "Immediately" (if the pivot is based on a sheet) or a time cadence (based on reports or sheets). The pivot itself is more like a set of commands; there's not a dedicated URL - the OUTPUT of the pivot (the sheet) does have a URL.

You might be able to give your dashboard some more context by including a KPI that shows "Last updated". You can do that by creating a summary formula on your pivot sheet that pulls the most recent Modified date or something along those lines.
