How to get future columns to show up automatically on dashboards
Hello,
I have a sheet with months as columns, so I currently have columns filled out for January-June 2024. I then have a dashboard with chart widgets that shows data for each month. However, when I add a column for the next month, I have to update my dashboard widgets to include the new month column, which means I have to re-select the type of chart I'm showing each time.
I've tried pre-adding and pre-selecting columns for months July-December, but then the charts show those months even though they have no data yet. Is there a way to have those empty months only show as they are populated?

You would need to pivot the data so that the months are going down each row in a single column. You could then create a report that only pulls rows that have had the data point filled out and use the report to create your chart.
