What is the best way to determine if there are multiple entries of the same value in a sheet without using the search function? I need to know as part of quality assurance that all values are unique? Can this function cover the entire sheet or do I have to repeat it column by column?
Thanks
Mytch
Hi Mytch,
There isn't built in functionality to identify duplicates. See this community post from January where someone has a workaround using a formula: https://community.smartsheet.com/discussion/identifying-duplicates-within-column
As the post Shaine references states, I use the formula listed there when I need uniqueness in a column.
Can you elaborate on when you would need this on the entire sheet? I have an idea how that could be accomplished, sort of, but am having difficulty picturing the dataset.
