New sheet not showing up in API

Hello, folks,

I have API creds for our Smartsheet instance. When I do the call to the GET /sheets endpoint the new sheet that was generated by an admin is not appearing in the list of sheets. Also, if you call the GET /sheets/{sheed_id} call for the new sheet I get a 404.

The sheet exists and it has been shared out to me. I have admin privileges.

What would cause API credentials to be limited to a scope where new sheets would not be populating when you make a call to the designated endpoints?

Thank you in advance!

    Hey @imelendez !

To address your issue, I recommend following these steps:

    1. Double-check your permissions: Ensure you have the correct permissions on the new sheet.
    2. Try with a new API token: Generate a new API token and test if the issue persists.
    3. Test with multiple sheets: Check if the issue occurs with other sheets, including those created by the same user.
    4. Use Postman: Test the API call using Postman to see if the problem continues.

If you still encounter this issue, I recommend opening a support ticket in our support portal. In the support ticket, be sure to include:

    • The sheet ID
    • Screenshots of the error messages and time stamps with the time zone
    • Screenshots of the API calls made using Postman

This information will help our support team troubleshoot your issue through a private channel.

Additionally, you can check our Stack Overflow for assistance from other developers: Smartsheet API on Stack Overflow.

    Cheers,

    Isaac!
