Can't see my photos in Smartsheet ! Help

Hi everyone,

I'm new to Smartsheet and having trouble with pictures. I uploaded some photos to my project sheet yesterday, but now I can't see them. The cells just show a little icon instead of the actual image. Is this normal? How can I make the photos show up?

Also, is it possible to add videos to Smartsheet? I'd like to include some short clips in my project updates.

Odd - Have you tried accessing the sheet via a different network or browser? - great article here https://help.smartsheet.com/learning-track/level-1-get-started/attachments around attachments. At this stage you cannot load a videos.

3. Click on the file to open or view it.

For adding videos, yes, you can attach videos to your Smartsheet, just like you would with photos. You can upload video files (such as MP4s) directly as attachments or link to them from cloud storage services like Google Drive or Dropbox.

Regarding the issue with your images, it's likely that the photos were uploaded as attachments, which is why you see the icon instead of the actual image. To view the images directly within your sheet, you would need to ensure that the "Attachment" column is set up properly, and when you click on the cell, you should be able to open or preview the image. Unfortunately, Smartsheet doesn’t support inline display of images directly within cells, but clicking on the icon should open the file.

As for adding videos, Smartsheet doesn’t support embedding videos directly in the cells. However, you can upload video files as attachments (like you did with the images) or use links to external video platforms (like YouTube or Vimeo) in the cells.

The image preview issue might be due to browser settings, cache, or a slow internet connection—try refreshing the page or clearing your cache. If the icon still shows, re-uploading the images might help. As for videos, Smartsheet doesn’t support direct video playback, but you can add links to video files (e.g., YouTube or Google Drive) within a cell for easy access.
