Can i use a check box to make a child row?

I keep telling colleagues how to make a child row but thought it might be simpler to add a check box that does it for them but not sure if it can be done and if so, how!

Can anyone help please (assuming it will be a formula)

You would need to leverage the API, the premium add-on Bridge, or another third party app to be able to automatically indent a row based on a box being checked.
