FORMULA TO ADD TOTALS OF SAME ITEM NUMBER

I am needing to add the sum of all of the same item numbers from one sheet to another.

I was using the following however, I received an unparseable error.

=INDEX({National Inventory Range 1},MATCH(Item@Row,{National Inventory Range 2},0))

Have you looked at SUMIF?

Your formula would be something like:

=SUMIF({Range with item numbers},Item@row,{Range with numbers to add up})
