COUNTIFS for checkboxes

I've searched but not finding the right answer. I need a formula or two formulas (not sure) to count checked and unchecked boxes on another sheet. Creating a metric sheet for building a dashboard.
This the formula I had and I thought it worked at first but its not counting unchecked boxes.
=COUNTIF({Match Count}, [Primary Column]@row)

Try:
Checked Formula:
=COUNTIF({Match Count}, 1)
Unchecked Formula:
=COUNTIF({Match Count}, 0)
