Workday has bug?
Anybody used Workday function? It adjusts the date skipping holidays and weekend but I am observing a weird behavior-> it works absolutely perfect for current year but disregards next year's weekend and holiday. Tried two approaches but same result 1) Entered holidays in project settings 2) Creating a holiday column
First column is duration and second is finish date derived through a calculated formula using workday: Finish date of previous entry + duration
7w | 10/29/24 |
---|---|
3w | 09/18/24 |
12w | 12/12/24 |
9w | 01/24/25 |
last entry is wrong: 12/12/24+ 9w or 45 days = 01/24/25 exact 45 days after 12/12/24 though it should be sometime in feb skipping 9week*2 days (weekend)
rest entries are working fine. I have included holidays too so might be difference of 1-2 days if you calculate at your end. But last entry is absolutely wrong.

Hi @sateeq!
Your scenario is indeed interesting, and it's strange that the calculations aren't coming out as expected. To better assist with testing and troubleshooting, could you please share the exact formula you're using? This will help us replicate the issue and provide more targeted advice.
In the meantime, I recommend checking out the following help articles for guidance on using the Workday function and how to define working days, non-working days, and holidays in a project:
Looking forward to helping you resolve this!
