Why can't I transfer Pivot ownership?
I am trying to transfer the ownership of a few pivots to a different manager within our organization. When attempting the transfer I get the message "Error! Target user doesn't have sufficient sheet/report access".
I checked the destination sheet to give the new manager permission and he already has admin permissions. I then went to confirm the destination sheet under pivot settings for the specific pivot I'm having problems with, and it says that I don't have permission to the sheet. I know I do have permission to the destination sheet because I can see it being updated based off the automatic pivot update.
So I'm stuck in this catch 22, I can't transfer ownership because he doesn't have admin privilege for the destination sheet, I can't edit the destination sheet because I don't have permission either, even though I do have access and can see that sheet being updated by the pivot.
Can anyone help me work through this problem? Have you heard of anything like this error?

The data source (a sheet or report) is as important to Pivot as the destination - you must have an owner or admin permissions for the source info as well as the destination info. Make sure the person you're transferring the Pivot to has those permissions.

Thank you for your recommendation Kerry, I do have permissions to all of our sheets unless this sheet is hidden in someone's personal sheets. I'm our company's admin for Smartsheet so I've had access to everything for awhile. I did see in the logs that there is an error for me not having access. If I click on the target output sheet link I don't have access. If I search for that sheet name nothing comes up, so I guess I really don't have access to this target sheet. I'm not sure what pivot is updating the sheet that I thought was the target sheet, but I am not the owner of that pivot. To sum it up, I just don't have access to the target output sheet and will need to get the owner of the sheet to give me admin permissions.
