Weird Value Label Changes

I was viewing one of my smartsheet dashboards this morning and realzied the value label looks differnt than it used to on my stacked bar graphs. Is this a permanent change or just a temporary glitch. The value labels now overlap each other and look sloppy and hard to read.

The labels have always overlapped. You may not have noticed in the past because there was enough distance between the labels to keep that from happening.

Here is an example. The top pic was taken last week. Values displayed further right. This week they overlap the bar.
-
Even then they're counter-intuitive though.
Surely it'd make more sense for the labels to actually be on the content they represent, rather than after it and inside the next section, especially with larger numbers as in the OP image.

I see what you mean now. There must have been an update so that the label is now centered on the end of the bar it represents.

Yes, it just looks odd. For example if a value is zero it overlaps the other values. Makes it super difficult to read….not sure how they thought this is helpful.

Is there somwhere I can make a formal complaint?

That particular overlap has always been a thing. The update just changed where the numbers are in relation to the bar itself (although it looks like it didn't change for columns).
The only thing you can do is browse the "Product Ideas" tab at the top of this page. I know there are quite a few ideas that have been submitted for voting related to data labels in charts.
