Smartsheet Dashboard Accessibility Color Themes

When designing Smartsheet dashboards, accessibility should be a top priority. This is when Smartsheet Dashboard Color Themes come to action! No more picking random colors or spending painstaking amounts of time making sure the colors you want to use actually work together. Now you can access 9 different color themes designed to engage and impress.

Here are a few key tips to ensure your dashboards are inclusive and effective for all users, including those with visual impairments or color blindness:

  • Prioritize color contrast: Avoid pastel color combinations.
  • Don’t rely solely on color: Incorporate data along with charts such as reports, metrics, and images to help users with color vision deficiencies differentiate data points.
  • Use monochromatic widgets: Grayscale designs can enhance accessibility and simplify user navigation.

  • Avoid problematic color pairings: Avoid red and green combinations, and use high-contrast pairings like blue and yellow or black and white for better accessibility.

For this purpose, you can use the Starry Night Dashboard Theme. This theme offers an enchanting color contrast and vibrant energy.

Access the Dashboard Theme panel while keeping these tips in mind when selecting colors for fonts, charts, titles, and more, you can choose from standard presets or add a custom color using a HEX code, or a color gradient. This feature is available to all plan types!

To create a custom color:

  1. In the top right corner of the dashboard, select Edit > Dashboard theme.
  2. Under Dashboard color or Widget color, select Change, and then select the plus icon.
  3. Pick a color or enter the hexadecimal color value.
  4. Select Add.
