Pulling Value to Create Dynamic List

Hello All,

I have a sheet created for time sheets for employees and I am looking to pull certain metrics from it on a separate sheet. What I am trying to create is a list based off of the the most hours worked at the job in the previous week.

I am assuming that it is an index/collect/count function, but not being able to get it to work…

Below is a clip form my timeclock metric sheet.

As we progress through the weeks the list would update itself by pulling the Job Name from the "TimeClock Master Sheet"

Hi @Nathan_FOF,

This is what I would do:

• Create a new column in the master sheet and use a formula to calculate the hours per row as a number
  • See this community post for help with time formulas: Formulas for Calculating Time
• Once you’ve got the hours worked for each row, either create a report with grouping/summaries to show the sum of hours worked for each job, or use a SUMIFS formula in your Metrics sheet to look at the number from the new column in the master sheet. Take a look at the following resources for help with these:

  • Group data to organize results in report builder
  • Summarize content with report builder
  • SUMIFS Function

If this doesn’t help, please provide more information about exactly what metrics you’d like to see in your metrics sheet, and, if possible, a screenshot that shows more of your Master Sheet.

Hi Georgie,

Thanks for the tips! I do have a column to show total times, it was just hidden.

And great suggestion with using the reports.. I will add the columns needed to be able to show the information needed. Opens up a new realm of possibilities
