Back to View - View not Displayed

I am setting up a Dynamic View to allow requestors monitor HR actions without making changes to the sheet. I am testing the View to ensure it works and am not able to see any lines that should be available to me to see. I have logged out and back into Smartsheet and I have restarted my computer. I only have the one Smartsheet user ID, so that is not the issue.

The "Person Making Request Email" is set-up as a Contact without a contact list. I added a contact list to see if this would correct the issue, but it did not. I logged out and back into Smartsheet after making this update.

I tried sharing to myself, but I am receiving an error message that my name wasn't able to be saved and was removed. However, I was able to save our agency domain.

Because this view is for submitters and they should not have access to edit once submitted, I have all fields set to Read Only.

I am also trying to set up an HR Action View on which I have assigned myself to allow testing but am not seeing any rows available to test.

I would say your problem is your account - if it's not recognizing you as having a "real" account then it's also not going to match you to your contact name in the contact field.

I'd reach out to your sysadmin and see if you can figure out what's wrong. If you changed your email recently, that may be it.

    Hi @Teesha ,

Some things that you could check are:
    1. Double click on the contact for yourself in the sheet/report and make sure that it's definitely the same email as the login that you use to get onto Smartsheet.
    2. Make sure that in the General tab of the Dynamic View setup that there is no "Restrict view by sheet filter" selected.
    3. Ensure that in the View Display tab of the Dynamic View setup, you have columns selected

They're the most common reasons that the view won't show any data.

    Cheers,

    Lindsay

Lindsey Whitbread - option 3 was the issue. I had set-up the fields in the Details Panel, but not in the View Display.

    Thanks!
