Report includes the Latest Comment field, updates from report do not flow to source sheet.

Created report for our RAID log. The report includes the Latest Comment. If updates are made to the source sheet the report correctly updates the Latest Comment field. However, if an update is made to the report field Latest Comment, that update will not pass back to the source sheet.

Before the Latest Comment was released I would create a field for comments and could update the report and that updates passed to source sheet.

Does anyone know if this limitation of the Latest Comment field? If so I will need to go back to creating a field for comments. If someone has other option please let me know.

As point of refence I use the RAID report to go through team during weekly meetings so that I do not need to go through each sheet (4 sheets: Risk, Action, Issue, Decision). Would prefer to use the report as it is easier to navigate than switching multiple sheets during team calls.

It sounds like you are typing your comment directly into the Latest Comment field in the report. Instead, use the conversations feature in the report to add the comment. Then it will show up in the source sheet.

Dang that is it. I was so used to updating in the report directly missed the Conversations option on right side bar. 😆
