Creating CRs and Linking to main project in Project Management Office Template

Using the Project Management Office Template, is there a way to create and link Change Requests to the same project folder for tracking, identifying, and maintaining CRs related to each project in one folder that also can reflect to the Portfolio dashboard?

    Hi @Anas Wazani,

There are often multiple different ways to achieve things in Smartsheet, but here’s my suggestion:

You could create a “Change Requests” sheet within the Portfolio Level folder, and create a form on that sheet that allows users to submit change requests. The sheet could include a dropdown column that has all projects listed as values (this would need to be updated each time a new project is added to the intake sheet, though) so that form submitters can select which project their request relates to.

You could then create a change request sheet for each project within the Project Level folder, and then on your original Change Requests sheet, you could set up a copy rows or move rows automation to move or copy rows from that sheet to the relevant project’s change request sheet.

You could also embed your change request form on the portfolio dashboard using a web content widget.

    Would that work?
