Update a date using a daily automation

Hi community,

i'm looking to use either a formula or automation to update a target date at the completion of each day. Basic workflow is to add a single day to the target date for all tasks that are incomplete. In this content we use target dates as a sorting tool and they are not necessarily firm due dates as such.

Screenshot below for how it will work. The part i'm stuck with is how to replace the "target date" with the "new target date" on a daily schedule. The original target date is a manually entered date field

Hi Nick,

You can create a Record a Date workflow to populate today's date to the Target Date column. The Trigger would be to run every day at a certain time with a Condition being Status is in progress or whatever status you have that indicates the task is not complete. New target date can have a formula of =[Target date]@row + 1
