Daily Task Recurrence

Many of the articles I have seen are showing the idea of new tasks showing up every time a person resolves them. In my example below, I am more looking to block a person's time "permanently" for 2 hours on every Monday and every Wednesday.

DBA1 has server maintenance tasks every Monday and Wednesday, therefore they are unavailable for 2 hours a day on both.

Can Smartsheet accomplish this easily?

Smartsheet can help with this. If you're using Resource Management, you can assign DBA1's server maintenance sessions as blocked time on Mondays and Wednesdays, which will reflect their unavailability in resource views.

Another option is to create two separate tasks, one for Monday and one for Wednesday. Use automations to send reminders or notifications before each session. This keeps things on track without manually creating tasks every week.

If you need these tasks to show up on calendars, Smartsheet integrates with Google Calendar or Outlook, so DBA1’s time blocks can sync across tools.
