Flagging double booked dates and rooms

Hello

I am trying to get a formula that will crosscheck the camp / rooms and flag if they double book rooms in the same camp on the same days?

If that can be done can I set it to reply back to the customer who books via the form?

I am not sure from the description I understand what you want to achieve. So in the column Camp for exapmple the Tandera Camp if someone books twice the Room 2 the guest should be informed by email that the room 2 is already taken or only in the situation it's already taken for this checkin period?

I want to flag it in the sheet so that it cant be double booked.

AKA Tandera camp room 2 is booked from the 15 - 20th and someone tries to book it for the same or say 16th that it A flags in the spreadsheet and B sends an email to the client saying its booked out

hi Jack,

So my idea how to resolve it is bit complicated but it shall work. I used it it once for my other solution and it worked :)

1. First you would need to calculate the dates from check in to check out in some helping columns so if someone is booking from 16.11.2024 till 20.11.2024 you shall have values like: 16.11.2024, 17.11.2024, 18.11.2024, 19.11.2024 and 20.11.2024 (I am from Europe so day come first in dates :) )
2. Second you will need to combine the dates with the camp and room names so you would have individual text strings like: Tandera-Room2-20.11.2024, Tandera-Room2-19.11.2024, Tandera-Room2-19.11.2024
3. Now when new data will come you will have to compare if new strings created are already existing in your sheet if yes mark them and send the email to the customer.

Maybe there are other ideas how to resolve it but this is how I would start.
