Cell Linking Not Working

Hello,

I have linked a column (pre-pipeline/intake date) from Sheet A to Sheet B. However, when a new row is added to Sheet A, the new row is not automatically added/linked to Sheet B. As you can see in the 'Sheet A' photo, I added a new row but there is no blue triangle to the right of it and as seen on 'Sheet B' there is no new entry and my counter for December is only showing 1 instead of 2. Could you possibly help me with this issue?

Thank you!

    Hello, Amelia.

I hope you are well! I am trying to break down your question.

When a new row is added in Sheet A, you want it to automatically link to Sheet B - The Pre-Pipeline/Intake Date.

    Couple thoughts:

    1. Do you have an automation set up for this? If so, can you post it, so we can see?
    2. Sometimes Cell-Linking doesn't for a number of reasons, and it could be as simple as wording.

Let me know if I can further assist! Pjwoodward12@gmail.com

  • Hi!

No automation is currently set up due to not needing the whole row to move from Sheet A to Sheet B. I am currently only using the "link from cell in another sheet" function since I only need the date to move from Sheet A to Sheet B. I have the "Pre-Pipeline/Intake Date" column on Sheet A linked to the "Project Date" column on Sheet B.

Not too sure why a new date added on Sheet A isn't automatically moving to Sheet B :/
