Workspace Group Permissions?

    @Genevieve P. This is an older post, but I am having the same issue. I have a workspace. Groups are assigned at editor level. But they cannot access the sheets n the workspace (sheets are in folders). All permissions were granted at the workspace level. I can't figure out how to solve, without granting permissions individually — and that negates the purpose of the groups. Am I missing something?

    PS Some members can access, others cannot …. there are 2 groups assigned.

    Hi @Pauline J,

    Have you confirmed that the correct account/email address for the affected users has been added to the group that you’ve shared to the workspace? I’d also have the users that can’t access the sheets in the workspace refresh their page and try logging out and back in. 

    If that doesn’t resolve the issue, I’d recommend creating a support ticket so that the team can investigate the specific workspace and users affected and communicate with you via private channels. If you do open a support ticket, please provide the following when doing so to help the team’s investigations:

    • The ID of the workspace (right-click the name of the workspace in the Browse menu and select Properties)
    • The IDs of the sheets that users can’t access (open the sheet and click File > Properties, or right-click the sheet name in the Browse menu and select Properties)
    • Email addresses of affected users
    • Screenshots showing that the users are in the group that has Editor permission to the workspace

    @Georgie Thanks so much for your thoughts. I'll double-check it again; it looks like it's happening when there are two groups permissioned to the workspace. I'll follow up with SS support if I can't get it to work.
