Suggestions for Risk Register Reporting
We have created a blueprint for all projects to have the same workspace within Smartsheet. Part of this includes a mandatory Risk Register that all projects are required to update monthly.
I'm in the process of creating portfolio reporting for my leadership team that includes an overarching dashboard and some separate reports. In the dashboard I only want to show a brief section of risks but have the ability to click into a sheet/report that can show risks by their categories/risks due in the next X amount of days.
Has anyone created an overarching risk sheet where all new projects are automatically added once approved/created? or is the only way for me to create a report and manually add all workspace/project risk registers to this?
Thank you.

Hi there,
Have You already checked the PMO solution? If I understand You well, and since I use the PMO, I think there are similarities with the Project intake sheet and portfolio dashboard from the PMO that could be either modified for risk tracking You've mentioned or at least used as a guide how to solve your issue.
Maybe you can take a look at

Yeah we have created our own PMO solution but I was hoping there would be a way to have essentially a "Summary Sheet" but essentially just for Risks. So I could have a sheet but also create reports from it.

Sometimes the terminology here can be tricky and related to Smartsheet. Below is one of the videos that maybe explains what You need and at the very end of it it mentions the summary (but there are a lot of sheet summary videos). As I understand You have one risk sheet with risk data and You need a summary and 1 report?

Thank you for sharing. These reports are already what I have created. My query was because we use Smartsheet as a portfolio and project management tool (to track progress/status of projects). So, we want to have as much automated as possible (so when a new project is authorised and new project is created, it is automatically added to any reports we have). This leaves less room for human error or lengthy processes.
Each workspace (every project is assigned to 1) has a mandatory risk register. I then was looking to have a summary report to capture all in-flight project risks without manually adding each newly created workspace/project to a report.

If you have a "blueprint", are you using Control Center? If so, have you looked into Dynamic Report Scope?
