Change in Data Retention policy behavior

Previously, the Data Retention policy evaluated whether a user in the inclusion group held Owner permissions on a Smartsheet item to determine its eligibility for deletion.

To support our transition to a fully plan-based asset ownership model, the Data Retention policy will also consider whether a user in the inclusion group has Admin permissions on a Smartsheet item. So now, if a user in the inclusion group has either Owner or Admin permissions, the item will be included in the evaluation list for potential deletion. As a result, notifications regarding potential removals will also be sent to the item Admin as long as they're part of the inclusion group. Learn More
