% Complete column not computing

My project row «SCC Project Name» is the parent row (hierarchy level 1). The phases under it are indented as child rows (hierarchy level 2). Phases= Initiating, planning, executing, closing.

The % complete is not computing on the main project row (22). It also will not allow me to enter a formula. They are not locked columns.

Please help!

Hello @Nikki G

The reason why the % complete is not computing is that Row 22 is currently a child row of the summary and not a parent row to Initiating, Planning, etc.

If you want Row 22 to automatically calculate the % complete based on the % complete values of Initiating, Planning, etc., it must be set as the parent row to Rows 23 onwards.

Is this correct? Now the main project row (23) is outdented as hierarchy 1 and the subsequent phases Initiating, planning, etc., are indented. Please review the WBS# column. Is this correct?

On this example, 29% overall completion for the four phases doesn't seem correct. Shouldn't it be 50% (49.75%)?

The Portfolio Dashboard has the active projects incorrect now that I've changed the hierarchy. :(
