Sum Formula not Working

I want the SUM of the values in a column that has empty cells and it keeps giving me an incorrect argument. I feel like this is a simple formula that should work with empty cells

Hey @Annick !

I'm not sure if I fully understand your question, if you are trying to sum a column that has some empty cells and some populated cells, =SUM([column name]:[column name]) should work, make sure your column type is text/number as well.

Or are you trying to sum only values within the column if they have an empty cell in the same row but in a different column?
