Trying to Subtract two date columns with one of them having a formula

I am trying to subtract two date columns and one of the date columns have a formula referencing another sheet to pull that specific date but everytime I try to subtract the two I get #INVALIDOPERATION

@J21524 Can you share the specific syntax of the formula you are using? An #INVALIDOPERATION error is usually caused by operation that isn't supported by Smartsheet or something in the formula is mistyped.

So I am subtracting two columns that have dates to determine how days have passed in between

=[Date 1]@row - [Date 2]@row is the formula

But Date 1 is a column that has formula that is pulling the data from other sheet
