Control Center Summary Rollup

I have changed the data I have in my summary rollup sheet in control center. How do I get it to populate all projects? If I choose a project from the project list and select update reporting it will add that projects data. But is there a way to do all at once rather than having to do that 200 times?

    Hi @nicCFA,

You can use global updates to make changes to existing and new projects - take a look at the following articles for more information:

    Hope that helps!

    Hi @nicCFA,

Apologies, it looks like I misunderstood your question - can you clarify what you mean by “summary rollup sheet”? Is that the blueprint summary sheet you’ve defined in your blueprint summary settings in Control Center (on the page seen below)?

If it is a blueprint summary sheet, since it’s updated via inbound cell links, you’d update values from each project to ensure the blueprint summary sheet is updated with those values. If cell links are not working in the blueprint summary sheet, you can use Control Center Global Updates: Update reporting to re-create the cell links in bulk. You can also use this to add or edit profile data in existing projects. If you’re looking to update an existing profile data field, you’ll need to ensure that you use the same name as the existing field - if you add a value in Field that doesn't match the name of an existing profile data, you get a new profile data field in your sheets and reporting.

If you’re updating profile data values and want changes to apply to multiple/all projects, you can update profile data values using global updates to find/replace data and set the condition to Row is Profile Data.

If you’re updating a sheet summary within a sheet, that’s not possible via global update.

    Hope that helps!

  • Because its a summary rollup sheet it doesn't get updated by update reporting in global updates. in fact as I have no actual reports I cant run a global update on update reporting. I have reconfigured the summary rollup sheet in the control center spec but this doesnt pick up existing projects, just adds the new data for new projects. I tried global updates add profile data and selected only the update rollup reports option but I got an error on every single sheet, some failed completely and some did generate cell links, but not a consistent result.
