Create a dashboard KPI with number of sheets that I have?

I have 1 sheet per product. I need to count this sheets and create a metric in my dashboard. How can I do that?
The bad solution: I created another sheet with columns: name of the sheet(product A, product B,…), Responsible and date of creation, then I use this sheet as a data source for my dashboard, bu its basically rework.

Have you considered creating a report with all your sheets, filtering by the top row and then summarizing one of the columns?

This in essence will count your sheets
