How do I create System Columns?

I'm currently working on the Capstone activity for Smartsheet, and one of the activies is the below:

"Add a system generated column to the far right of the sheet to automatically generate a created date when a submission is made."

However, "system" isn't an option on the sheet. How do I create a System Column here?

Th key part to this is adding a column that generates the "created date" when a submission is made. It is referred to as a System Column because the system automatically generates the data in the column as opposed to manual or any other type of entry.

@MatthewMorrison The "System" columns are Auto number, Created by, Created date, Modified by, and Modified date.
