Android Smartsheet App - Photo Capture in Attachment Button

Hi,

We developed a solution that includes a Dynamic View where users answer a few questions within the editable fields. At the end of the process, they need to upload photos of the shipment. This process will be carried out in the mobile app.

When logging into the Apple Smartsheet App and clicking on Attachments, there is an option to take a picture. However, in the Android App, it seems that users can only upload a picture from their album.

Is this a limitation of the Android App, preventing users from capturing a new photo directly within the attachment button? Or is there a configuration setting on the phone that needs to be adjusted to enable this option?

After testing, we found that you're correct, currently, the Android Smartsheet app does not have the option to take a photo directly from the attachment button.

I encourage you to submit a feature request to our Product team by creating an Idea post in the Smartsheet Product Feedback & Ideas topic.

However, we did find a potential workaround, when you click the link to access the Dynamic View and are redirected to a browser, you should see two options. If you choose to stay in the web version instead of opening the app, clicking the attachment option will give you the ability to take a picture from there.
