I've found multiple requests in this forum for Dynamic View formatting options. but none of them request what I am asking for below. This request covers almost all the other Dynamic View formatting feature requests I've found in this forum.
The Request:
- In Dynamic View Settings, add a "Match Data Source Cell Formatting"—this will apply all the same formatting options from the original sheet, just like a "report" currently does.
- In Dynamic View, Allow the owner to use ALL FORMATTING TOOLS that are already available in "Sheet View". So the formatting can be DIFFERENT for each Dynamic View. Examples Include:
- Conditional Formatting
- Bold/Italic/Underline
- Highlighting
- Font changes
- Colors
- And change the "wrap text" button in dynamic view to allow you to select which cells/columns you want to wrap. Currently the Dynamic View's "Wrap Text" button applies wrapping to ALL CELLS if pressed.
Adding these options will allow the meaning of "Dynamic View" to truly have meaning. One client may need different date formats. Another might need certain cells highlighted.
This is especially important due to the recent "User Data Model" which restricts free users even further. Having it already formatted will make things much better for all.
