Report showing activity per month grouped by resource

Hello,

I have a report gathering from 6 different sheets all with the same formats. I am grouping the report by resources so I can see each resources activity and how they overlap. I would like to take this report and only show a single months activity (and not necessarily the current month). I want to pull up each month separately so I'm only seeing say, April, and all the activity happening that month by resource.

Attached is a screen shot of what my current report shows. I want to see the same Gantt view but only show activity for the selected month, any month, say August.

I've tried filtering using the start and finish dates with greater than, less than. However, this only shows what starts in the particular month but not activity that rolls from one month to another.

hi @jdahl,

i would still stick to the filters and months.

i tihnk that if you choose the start date to be between dats a & b and and dates between c & d if it meets this criteria it will show you only those.

Filters work to some extent. What I was hoping for was to only show what is in that particular month, without the carry over before or after the month. Maybe I'm being to constrained for what is possible.

have you considered adding helping columns called month and just inside use formula: =month(….) so it wil just show you always 7 for July, 8 for August. In the reports later it will be easier for you to group by months not by dates.
