Resource mgmt enterprise - Filter on project name in Schedule not working correctly
Hi, I'm new to enterprise RM/Smartsheet.
We have Placeholder roles (Project mgr, Business Analyst). Those roles have been allocated to tasks in various project plans across our portfolio.
I am trying to get a list of Placeholder roles to show in the Schedule view so I can see how many of a particular role I need across the lifecycle of one specific multi year project e.g. 1 PM for 25% from March - April for xx project to assist with our resource capacity planning.
I've got 'People' selected, 'Assignment Details' and in the 'People filters' I've filtered on the Placeholders/Roles I want. In the Project Filters, I've selected the project name but the data displayed includes 3 other projects in the results.
The only common denominator across the 3 projects is that they are all tagged with 'a Project Type' of 'Tentative'.
I've removed that tag from all bar 1 project, saved the changes and refreshed the view/Resource mgmt tab, but they are all still appearing.
Anyone come across this - where other projects are appearing in the Schedule view when you've only chosen the specific project name in the Project Filters?
Hope the above scenario makes sense.
Thanks in advance!

Hi @Sam Tilley!
After testing, I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue you described. One suggestion is to check your Project Filters: before selecting your project, please choose 'None'. This should ensure that only the desired project appears and prevent other projects from being included. See the screenshot below for reference.
For more information, please refer to our guide on Resource Management sorting & filtering: Resource Management Sorting & Filtering.
If you’ve already tried this and the problem persists, it does seem unexpected. In that case, I recommend contacting our Support Team for further troubleshooting via this link: Smartsheet Support Portal.
I hope this helps!

Hi @Isaac A. ,
Thanks so much for taking the time to try to reproduce it/see what we could be doing differently. Sadly, yes we've reproduced it following the removal of any filter and starting from scratch. Sounds like the support portal is the route to go.Thanks again!
Have a great weekend.
Sam
