Logic Formula Question

Hello, I created a smartsheet quiz with the answers to the questions set up as a dropdown choice. I am trying to set up a formula for grading. I have tried the IF([Question 1]@row = the answer, "1") formula and I get "#UPARSEABLE". What am I missing?

  • Im not sure how those formulas would work with my spreadsheet as that example is nothing like my spreadsheet.

My questions are in columns set up as a drop down where the student would select the answer from the dropdown. I need a formula that will give them a value based on which of the four drop down options they select.

    hi @mvanry,

Please tag me for the quick answer.

Ok so let me explain how I resolved that. I used the form for the answers to be given. Each answer would create unique identifier of category & question & his answer is B in one column I merge all data like =categoryAquestion1Answer1….. I also have a sheet with proper answers to each quesitons and compere those with answers with the proper answers if categoryAquestion1Answer1 is correct I have another sheet that sums proper answer and does nothing if the answer is not found.
