Global Update Error 1031 on renaming a column

I am getting this error when trying to rename a column titled "Key Accomplishments this period" to "Key Accomplishments"

Error (1031): INVALID_COLUMN_INDEX: column index is outside of the bound or duplicated.

Can someone help?

hi @Kam114,

I think the reason can be that such column "Key Accomplishments" is already used in another sheet and is a system column so cannot be overwritten.

It's a problem for example if you copy one row from one sheet to another sheet. if in the destination sheet you have a system column with the same name as normal column in the source sheet same problem error will occur.

@kowal thank you. This column for us is not a system column and is a text/number column that was manually created. Any other reason why this global update won't work?

hi @Kam114 nothing else comes to my mind now as I never had this issue.
