Happy March, Community!

Thank you for sharing your fantastic badge ideas on last month’s question, and for celebrating the Community’s 10th anniversary with us (don’t miss the giveaway!). Some of those ideas might inspire future badges, so keep an eye out for them. 👀

As always, you have a new opportunity to earn badges while getting to know your peers, so let’s get right to it.

What's one skill that you would like to improve? (Work-related or not.)?

Did anything come to mind immediately after seeing the question? I read your responses every month, so I know you love cultivating your skills. Choose one that stands out, and share it in the comments below. ⬇️

About Question of the Month:

We kick off each month with a new question. These monthly ice breakers are just one way to help you get to know your Smartsheet peers and rack up some badges and points in the process.

Everyone who participates by answering the question prior to the end of the month will automatically receive a unique participant badge once the question closes at the end of the month.

In addition to the participant badge, the top three answers based on Community member votes will receive the Top Answer badge. To vote on an answer click on the upvote icon associated with an answer in the comments below. Multiple votes allowed and encouraged!

One skill that I would love to be able to improve would be my singing and musical ability. When I was younger, I used to be in a band and noodle around on the guitar and piano. Back then, I was more interested in writing lyrics and doing vocals so that's what I focused on. Now that I'm older, I'd like to see if I could actually become proficient in an instrument.

I've always envied people who have natural musical talent, as it's such a joy to listen to, and is reflective of their hard work and honing their skills and craft. I have a major life milestone potentially coming up but after that, I should look at reprioritizing some things and think about maybe picking guitar back up. (I'll still sing in the shower, so at least I have that going for me 😅 )

I would LOVE the skill to balance all the variables needed to improve my health. Between being a single parent, working a full-time job, having a teenager in HS with 1 foot out the door to college, the financial cost for medical/dental to know exact diagnosis or what to work on, cost to buy healthy food, time to exercise, time to go to medical appointments, time to cook, even time that passes as I age and my family as a priority (always ensuring my son's health and wellness is in line before mine), it's hard to find that balance to live a healthier life.

I'd like to improve my ability to transition. When I'm focusing in on things, I find it challenging to change over to something else promptly. #continuousimprovementopportunity

Being able to find the information I need from the hundreds of notes I take. AI helps with "taking" the notes, but gleaning from that bounty of facts is an on going quest.

I'd like to improve my skills as a solution architect to better align people and processes.

Great question! The one skill I’d like to improve is the ability to be more understanding rather than always trying to be understood.

One skill I'd like to improve in relation to health and Crohn's disease would be a deeper understanding of how diet and nutrition impact the disease. While I know that Crohn's disease is an inflammatory bowel condition, I would love to learn more about which specific foods and nutrients can help manage symptoms or even reduce flare-ups. There’s a lot of research out there, and understanding the nuanced relationship between food, the microbiome, and immune response in Crohn's could be incredibly helpful for those managing the condition.

    Hi community,

many skills could be improved but on the Smartsheet side I currently would pick WorkApps sourced by SCC. Working on that ;-)
On the personal side I'd love to improve my quick-wittedness similar to the what you see in the film "Amélie" ;-)
