  • We have a lot of external guest users and I do not wish to have them going out of their way to do this. Can I simply edit them myself from the Admin Centre?

Hi Ryan, where do you want to display first and last name instead of email address?

    Thanks Marcela,

    Michael:

Everywhere essentially, but predominantly contacts columns. I've come to the conclusion that Smartsheet does not allow changing guest users names. I figured out that I can create a new contact with a name and then copy their email address to it but Smartsheet won't remember it outside the single location I created it at. So I've just spent days manually entering them individually into contact column drop-downs.

@Ryan Catling - you may want to create a helper sheet that contains the email addresses and the first and last names in separate columns. Then you can use a formula to reference the name from your Helper sheet based on the email address in a new column on the existing sheet.

@ker9 Thanks for the suggestion , I would probably go the opposite way around and have users enter the name to lookup the email, as users may not know certain people's email addresses.

But this still seems quite difficult to setup and maintain, it'd be much easier if I could just use the contact cards with the correct name and email address on them.
