How to display names instead of email + names when making a bar chart with a contacts column?

Hi! I'm trying to make a bar chart that shows # of tasks for each person in the project. I used the contacts column, and it shows as just their names in my sheet, as well as in the report I am pulling this from. But when I put it into a chart, it is so cluttered with their emails, and I just want their names only. How do I do this?

Oh, how frustrating! I've had a similar issue; I've solved by creating a second column with =Contact@row as a column formula. If the field is being distilled through Pivot, I make that column type Contact and turn on the "Allow multiple contacts per cell" option. Alternately, keep the column in type Text/Number. You can also manipulate the name if you want (so for example, only return everything to the left of the first space - likely the person's first name) to shorten the chart info.

    Good luck!
