Hide empty lanes and add child items in timeline view, now generally available!

We're excited to share two new long-requested timeline view enhancements:

Hide empty lanes when grouping: We introduced a new “Show empty lanes” toggle in the "Group by" toolbar button in timeline view. This toggle allows users to determine whether "empty" lanes (i.e. lanes with no records in them in a given time period) should be hidden from timeline view. Hiding empty lanes allows users to create visually denser timelines, free of extra clutter, so they can work more efficiently.

Add child items: Users can now add a new child item under a parent item directly in timeline view. To create a child item in timeline view, right-click on an item and open its context menu, select the “Add child item” option, and add the necessary details in the pop-up modal. Adding a child item on timeline view will insert a row under that parent in grid/table views.
