Meet Michelle Choate, our March Member Spotlight! 🎉

Let’s get loud for our March Member Spotlight, @Michelle Choate 2! This powerhouse is the Senior Manager of Operations at Impact Housing, a Community Champion, a trained flutist, and so much more! We’re pretty sure there isn’t much she can’t do.

Michelle was first introduced to Smartsheet while working at Microsoft as a Project Manager on a vendor contract. The product quickly became a powerful tool as she managed complex projects, vastly improving collaboration across teams. 

These days, she says her favorite features are the automation tools, crediting them as a game-changer for streamlining workflows and driving efficiency.

“Recently, I’m proud of creating a multi-category KPI tracker that won the Smartsheet ENGAGE Template Contest and is available in the template gallery right now! It provides actionable insights for my company by consolidating data and helping teams prioritize tasks and goals. It’s rewarding to see how it helps decision-making and keeps everyone aligned.”

Michelle says the Community has taught her countless tips and tricks from other members that have helped her refine her own solutions. “The Community has taught me the importance of collaboration when building solutions and just how much innovation is possible with Smartsheet,” she says. “Seeing everyone’s unique approaches keeps me inspired to push boundaries in my own work.” 

Looking ahead, Michelle’s goal is to design even more robust workflows for a variety of companies across industries, empowering teams to improve communication and productivity. 

Outside of work, Michelle is a flutist with a passion for Baroque music, and she even has a degree in flute performance! She also enjoys crocheting, sewing, puzzles, and hanging with her cat companion Sierra. “Creativity and problem-solving are passions I carry into everything I do, whether it’s music, crafts, or Smartsheet solutions.”
