Is there a formula that I can use to give me the # of pay periods between the start date and end date?

Payperiods are calculated based on 26.1.

A possible solution is to create a pay period reference table that lists your pay period #, start date, and end date. Then on your metric sheet, you can do COUNTIFS where start and end date is within the start and end date of your pay period reference table.
