How can I have my sheet track FedEx Shipments for me?

I have a sheet that I use for tracking packages coming back into corporate. I send the label out to the employee to send items back, but I have to manually check the FedEx site to see the status of the package. Is there a function/formula or add-on that will automatically pull the shipment details onto my sheet for me?

At ENGAGE a while ago, one of my colleagues asked a similar question. The consensus in terms of the answer is Bridge. I'm not familiar with it, as I haven't used it, but as I understand it you can use Bridge to pull data into Smartsheet, using specific API's and whatnot that are very configurable.

You could also use Data Shuttle and Data Mesh - you could download FedEx tracking and status information (either manually or, if possible, on a scheduled export) and stage it in a specific location, at which point Data Shuttle can pull information into a Smartsheet grid and Mesh can combine it with your specific tracking numbers for your indivdual business case.

Both are definitely options, but Bridge is a more scalable solution. Good luck, whatever direction you decide to go!
