Import Excel to existing Smartsheet & keep existing smartsheet columns

I've been copying/pasting excel data into an existing smartsheet. It's not a lot of rows but I have column formulas in smartsheet that I want to keep. If I import the excel to my existing that has 10 columns but my smartsheet has 15 columns (5 are the formula columns) is there a way to keep these 5 columns while importing the excel? Data Shuttle would only make sense if I was working with a lot of data.

This sounds like the exact use case for Data Shuttle how often are you importing from excel? You could use index match to look at your excel import but you would need to map it to a new sheet every time you do an import .

If I understand your use case correctly, just offset the 5 formula columns to the side so the excel columns are in the same order they are in excel. Now you copy paste into those 10 and the 5 formula ones are untouched.Principal Consultant | System Integrations

Thanks @Ross Loomis - yea, I want to avoid having to remap. Appreciate the input!
@prime_nathaniel - I'm not concerned with keeping the column order. In my existing smartsheet, I have the smartsheet generated formula columns at the very end hoping that when I import the excel with the 10 columns, it won't override the 5 that do NOT exist in the excel but that doesn't work either.

@TJordan
Oh you are literally using import → excel. Just copy paste and I promise it works lolPrincipal Consultant | System Integrations
