Cell linking | Pulling European date through in American format

Hi

Created cell linking from one sheet to another as its pulling the dates through its turning the format from European into American. Origin sheet dates are in European format. European format is set up on my personal settings.

any suggestions?

    Use the date format options on the sheet to override your account. That said, you won't have EVERY format option available. As you can see in my example here, I can have mon - day - year (EU) but it is spelled out. It is not possible for me to make it say 30/04/25 only 30-Apr-2025. Since I am US based, I assume your experience will be reversed from mine.

    In the absolute worst case scenario, you can make a text representation of the date if it is for read only purposes (it will not update or function as a date, this would just be for users or export).

    =day(someUSdate) + "/" + month(someUSdate) + "/" + year(someUSdate)

    If you need to 0 buffer the text you can do that too with if then given length of day or month being <2
