I know this is an old post, but I have a question…. If you are supposed to set the assets to optional, what do you do if you don't have that option for all the assets?

Below are the new assets to added to my blueprint, that need to be added to in-flight projects.

The 'Executive' reports reference a sheet that is already existing in the blueprint. The Outcome report references the new Outcome Timeline sheet, and the Dashboard references the new assets.

I welcome any suggestions, thank you!

    Hi @earl_bennett,

Reports can’t be configured as optional - they’re only available as required templates. Sheets and dashboards can be configured as optional. Take a look here for more information on Source template settings.

I also found this related Community thread: Why are all reports within a template folder required in Control Center blueprints?. As suggested on this thread, you could move reports outside of the blueprint folder if they aren’t used for project dashboards.

You can submit your feature request for the ability for reports to be optional in blueprints to the Product team by creating an Idea Post in the Smartsheet Product Feedback and Ideas topic here in the Community. This will allow other users to vote on your enhancement idea!

    Hope that helps!
