resource management

HI @fishcop1987
You can retroactively but you must do this for each project sheet individually
- Open the Project Sheet
- Go to Project Settings click the gear icon in the Gantt chart toolbar or right click any date in the Gantt chart
- Click on Resource Management in the settings menu
- Check the box that says Enable resource management
- Ensure Assigned To column is mapped to a contact list column3
- Save the settings
Going forward. Create a standard project template with Resource Management enabled and ask all PM’s to start with that template. Alternatively, download a project sheet from available Templates, many of these will already have RM activated. If not, simply follow the steps above to enable it.
Cheers.

Morning @fishcop1987
Correct RM and I think a few others are not available in SS Govt as it resides in it's own environment with strict FedRAMP compliance.
Cheers.

hi @fishcop1987,
you need to be licensed resourcing admin to see all the features of RM like settings etc.

so i managed to get resource admin, and have the resource views option available. however, there are no sheets visible, which i 'believe' means that legacy resource management wasn't enabled when the sheets were created. is there any way to retroactively activate this feature? if not, what needs to be done going forward, to ensure the project managers activate this feature so i can see resource allocation and manage the resources on the schedule?

so, jason p. answered my comment for 'commercial' smartsheet. however, we're using a government license, which doesn't even have resource management on the list of available options (left hand menu), so there's no way to enable this feature, it appears. Does the government license NOT include resource management?
