I have multiple $$ values in one cell, is there anyway to have them act like a value and not text?

I have an equipment order list, then I am adding the Invoice # and Invoice $, but some products ship out on several different invoices. I wanted to avoid adding extra columns or rows to accommodate the extra $$ values. When I put them all in one cell, they no longer act like a value and won't total.

Any suggestions other than adding more column or rows?

If you put ' in fromt of things it should change it. try that?

Thank you Nathan but that does not work. This is an image of what I mean. The Invoice Amount have 3 values but once I add the 2nd Value, it is no longer adding into my sum formula.
