"Today" Function in Start Column

I'm attempting to create a row in my sheet that shows today's date since the dotted line doesn't populate in dashboard view. That way I have a visual indicator of today's date for my key milestone dashboard. When I attempt to use the =TODAY() function in my start column, nothing happens. The column type is a Date/Time column, and I'm not able to change it per my sheet settings. Is there a way to get today's date to populate with some workaround?

    Hi @kaitlyn.olah,

Your sheet may have dependencies turned on, which would not allow you to enter formulas in the Start Date column. To turn that off, you'll want to change your view of the sheet to Gantt, then navigate to the settings gear in the top right corner (see screenshot below). In the next window (next screenshot), de-select the Dependencies enabled.
